Dating back to 1949, the Williston Fire Department is comprised mainly of volunteers and is chartered by the Town of Williston. We have a long and proud history of protection and service to our community. With an authorized strength of 60 members, we not only respond to all Fire and Ambulance calls within our village, but we participate in every village activity including running the Annual Williston Fire Department Pancake Breakfast and Fire Prevention Week, which promotes fire safety to children. There is no question that the Williston Fire Department plays an integral role in maintaining the general well-being and quality of life that we have all come to enjoy in our town.

If you are over the age of 18, in good health, and are interested in performing a valuable service to your family, your neighbors, and your community, we invite you to join us. No matter what your occupation or skills, if you are willing to devote some time, we could use your talents. Our current membership reflects all professional walks of life, including: lawyers, bankers, carpenters, nurses, business owners, police officers, IT consultants and students. Their common bond is a genuine concern for the protection of our community and a willingness to act on that concern.

This will give you an opportunity to meet our Firefighters and EMTs who have the best interests of our village at heart.
